Ziad Hab al-Reeh
General Ziad Hab al-Reeh (زياد هب الريح) was born in Jenin and has been a long time Fatah activist in the West Bank – dating back to before the First Intifada.
He headed the Palestinian Authority‘s Preventive Security agency between August 2006 and February 2024. In January 2022, Hab al-Reeh became minister of interior, serving in the governments of prime ministers Mohammad Shtayyeh and Mohammad Mustafa.
Hab al-Reeh has also served as a member of Fatah‘s Revolutionary Council.
