Presidential Elections (1996)

Presidential elections were first held for the Palestinian Authority (PA) in 1996. They were won by Yasser Arafat, the chairman of Fatah, with 87% of the vote. His opponent was Samiha Khalil from the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP). Official results can be found here.
