Nasri Abu Jaish
Doctor Nasri Abu Jaish (نصري أبو جيش) is a member of the Palestinian People’s Party (PPP) and previously Palestinian ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union. Abu Jaish was the minister of labour in the Palestinian Authority government of Mohammad Shtayyeh, formed in April 2019.
Following the killing of political activist Nizar Banat by PA security forces in June 2021, the PPP announced he would be leaving the government over its failure to protect democratic rights and freedoms. This was, however, not followed through.
