Fatima Shurab (فاطمة شراب) was born in 1963 in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. She is the leader of Hamas‘s women’s wing in Gaza and a member of the group’s Gaza leadership since March 2021. Prior to Hamas’s establishment she was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, responsible for women’s advocacy work in Khan Younis between 1981-1987.
