European current architecture has shown its weaknesses and today everybody seems aware of this. To overcome the crisis, we now need a real breakthrough which will enable Europe to come back as a global actor.
The debate will be an opportunity to discuss about the outcomes and implications of the German elections for Europe and for the European project.
The discussion will explore the possible paths to tackle the current political crisis and encourage reconciliation in Egypt.
Discussion will be focused on EU citizenship and democratic legitimacy; European political union and a stronger economic and monetary union
On 9th July 2013 the ECFR Sofia in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation hosted a workshop looking at the role of Russia in South East Europe. The workshop was a part of the joint project Changing Dynamics of European Integration and Democratization in Southeast Europe 2013.
