Susanne Baumann was senior director for advocacy and campaigns and managed the Unlock Europe’s Majority project at the European Council on Foreign Relations. She was in charge of strategic direction and coordination of ECFR’s flagship advocacy project across six national offices and 9 EU countries.
Prior to joining ECFR in February 2019, Baumann was the chief of staff and before that Germany director of Crisis Action, a global non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection of civilians from armed conflict. She has previously worked as advocacy manager in the office of the secretary general at Amnesty International Germany. She holds a degree in Law from the University of Bonn.
