Sofia Strömgård

Sofia Strömgård is a communications officer at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office. Prior to joining ECFR, she served as a communications adviser at the research institute Nordregio in Stockholm.

Strömgård has experience in strategic science communication within international research projects focused on regional development, sustainability, migration, and youth engagement. She has also worked in events and workshop management to facilitate Nordic knowledge exchange.

Earlier in her career, she gained experience as a news reporter across radio, web, and television for the Finnish broadcasting company Yle, and as a communications officer for the Swedish Choir and Music Association.

Strömgård holds an MSc in politics and communication and a BSc in journalism and media, both from the University of Helsinki.
