Biography

Lucie Courtade is the Defence, Security, and Technology programme coordinator at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office.

Prior to joining ECFR, she worked at the French Embassy in Berlin and as programme manager for international affairs at Körber Stiftung. In her role at Körber Stiftung, Courtade supported the Paris Peace Forum’s work and was responsible for organising various high-level events. Before that, she was an intern at the French Embassy in Iceland, where she developed a strong interest in Arctic geopolitics and multilateral cooperation.

Courtade holds a Master’s degree in international security and a Bachelor’s degree in European studies from Sciences Po Paris, as well as a law degree from the University of Lorraine.
