Biography

Julie Morgan is the operations assistant at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), based in the Berlin office. She supports the human resources and operations teams across all seven ECFR national offices in addition to serving as the liaison between ECFR staff and IT support.

Prior to joining ECFR, Morgan gained professional experience as a human rights consultant and advocate at the European level with various NGOs, with specification on promoting civil society and open democratic space in the Middle East / North Africa region. Morgan has also worked with grassroots organizations at the external European border in the Balkans, providing humanitarian aid to people-on-the-move across Serbia as well as documenting and analyzing trends in border violence and migrant flows.

Morgan holds an MA from University of Applied Science Fulda in Human Rights Studies in Politics, Law and Society, while she earned her BA in the United States in biochemistry, German and International Business.
