Biography

Julie Morgan is a project assistant within the European Power programme at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office. She supports the work of ECFR’s flagship Unlock Project, which connects European policymakers to public opinion through global data polling.

Prior to joining ECFR, Morgan gained professional experience as a human rights advocate at the European level with various NGOs, with a regional focus on the Gulf Cooperation Council states. She has also worked with grassroots organisations in the Western Balkans, providing humanitarian assistance to people on the move across Serbia, as well as documenting and analysing trends in border pushbacks.

Morgan holds an MA in human rights studies with an emphasis on migration from the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda, Germany. She also holds a BS in chemistry and an Honors Baccalaureate degree from Montana State University in the United States, with minor specialisations in German and international business.
