José Luis Echevarría Lasaga

José Luis Echevarría is a grant administrator at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Madrid office.

Prior to joining ECFR, he worked as a grant reporting specialist at the consultancy of the Spanish administration, Tragsatec, verifying the use of public grants by third sector organisations. He was also a grants, project, and quality coordinator at Fundación A LA PAR, a Spanish NGO specialising in inclusion and empowerment. Additionally, he gained experience in cultural management at the Embassy of Spain in Belgium and as an international trade and investment analyst at the Embassy of Spain in the United States. He served as a Schuman trainee at the Transatlantic Relations Unit of the European Parliament from 2019-2020.

Echevarría holds a BA in international relations from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid and an MA in business administration from the Institute of Foreign Trade of Spain.
