Elsa Scholz

Elsa Scholz is the Middle East and North Africa programme coordinator at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office. 

Prior to joining ECFR, she worked with the human rights organisation ALQST for Human Rights in London and the European Academy Bavaria, a political education institute in Munich. 

Scholz holds an MA in Near and Middle Eastern studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a BA in Arabic and Islamic studies from the University of Vienna. She studied Arabic at the Institut Français du Proche-Orient in Beirut.
