Alejandro Romero

Alex Romero is the founder and chief executive of digital risk and cyber intelligence firm Alto Intelligence and co-founder of cybersecurity firm Constella, both leading global companies in their respective fields. Alex’s primary mission and obsession is to help organisations and societies to anticipate and mitigate emerging cognitive digital risks.

Alex is a limited partner at Ballistic Ventures, an early-stage cybersecurity venture fund based in San Francisco that focuses on growing threats to digital infrastructure.

Alex also teaches the subject “Hybrid Threats” as visiting professor at Sciences Po in Paris as part of the university’s Master’s program in International Security.

He has also served on the boards of Telefónica Tech (Madrid), Cyber Peace Institute (Geneva), European Council on Foreign Relations (Madrid, Brussels) and the Elcano Royal Institute (Madrid). Alex also supports and serves at the boards of several non-profits such as Endeavor, The Conversation and Hermes Foundation.

Alex has a degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation and Electronics from the Polytechnic University of Malaga (Spain) and an MBA from the Henley Business School (UK). Since 2014, Alex has been an Endeavor entrepreneur, and he has attended Endeavor’s executive programs at Harvard University (Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures)  and Stanford University (Innovation and Growth).

More recently, Alex has led the launch of Cyber Guardians, his non-profit initiative aimed at raising awareness among parents, educators and regulators about the cognitive and digital risks that new technologies represent for the mental health of young people, especially those technologies related to large language models and generative AI.
