Apart from the first glimpses of significant reform offered by Xi Jinping the world has been fascinated by the rise and fall of eminent party officials such as Bo Xilai who point towards an overall reshuffling of Chinese power politics. John Garnaut will offer his unique insights into the inner workings of Chinese political games and will shed light on the ongoing struggle of the Chinese elite to stay at the top at all costs and what lessons the Bo Xilai case in particular holds for the coming decade under Xi Jinping.
