The European Council on Foreign Relations is delighted to invite you to an online debate on Kosovo’s political coherence during pandemics and in the face of a re-start of the dialogue with Serbia.

Kosovo, like other regional countries has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and other accompanying political crises such as the toppling of a popular government and the Special Prosecutors indictment concerning the President of the country and a major political party leader. The current troubled political scene as well as the poor management of the pandemic have prompted many pundits to project yet another change of government. The already weak governing coalition has been showing signs of discontent on how to move forward, in particular with regards to negotiations with Serbia. The questions that need prodding are: can Kosovo mount the necessary political unity to face present challenges or are new early elections on the horizon? How can the EU support the process?

The debate will be on the record and held in English. Dial-in details will be provided after registration.
