The Warsaw Office of the European Council on Foreign Relations together with the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Warsaw are pleased to invite you to an open lecture Ideas for a renewed European Union: more protective, less rigid, still cohesive?, held by Mark Leonard, Director of the European Council on Foreign Relations, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the ECFR. The event will take place on the 10 January at 3:00-4:30 PM in the Czarnowski lecture hall (ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 3).
Is European Union a revolutionary project designed to remake the world or should it rather be a protective one that can make people feel safe in an interdependent world? Are its leaders able and ready to reconceive the idea of the Union? How to find new means for strengthening the cooperation between its members?
Mark Leonard will focus on these and other questions about the future of the European Union, drawing from his recent report ‘L’Europe qui protège: Conceiving the next European Union’.
The event will be held in English.
