Im Vorfeld des für Ende März angekündigten Besuchs des chinesischen Staatspräsidenten Xi Jingping in Europa lud das MERICS in Partnerschaft mit dem ECFR Berlin zu einem Experten-Dinner. Prof. Francois Godement stellte die Hauptthesen seines jüngsten Policy Briefs „Divided Asia: the implications for Europe“ vor und Prof. Sebastian Heilmann teilte seine Einschätzungen zum Thema „Limitations of European China policy: What Germany Can Do About It“. Anschließend wurden beide Themen in einer spannenden Debatte von den Experten diskutiert.
