The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), in collaboration with the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and Telefónica, cordially invites you to take part in an expert brainstorming session on Europe’s digital strategy after Covid-19

While Europe’s digital transformation was a top EU priority long before the novel coronavirus arrived, the pandemic has instilled a new awareness of the existential implications of digital technologies and processes. During the crisis, the vital connection between digitalisation and both economic and health resilience was truly brought to the fore, as was the need for Europe to be able to respond and act autonomously in the digital domain. In an uncertain global geopolitical context – marked by rising tensions between world tech leaders China and the USA – the case for shoring up Europe’s digital resilience and autonomy has never been greater.

Far from yet another webinar, this will be an interactive off-the-record discussion, bringing together the best minds on European digital affairs to together reassess the EU’s priorities after Covid-19 and advance concrete suggestions on how we can work on them.
