The objective of this initiative is to have an informative and innovative discussion on the future of European Defence and of NATO to drive toward mutual reinforcement. The initiative will involve a high-level convening of selected pan-European and American policy makers, strategic thinkers, and ECFR experts from Rome, Berlin and London.

The initiative will be organized by the Rome office of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), an award-winning international think-tank that aims to conduct cutting-edge independent research on European foreign and security policy and to provide a safe meeting space for decision-makers, activists and influencers to share ideas. We build coalitions for change at the European level and promote informed debate about Europe’s role in the world.

For the realization of the initiative, ECFR collaborates with the US-based Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) whose transatlantic mission is to promote an economically vibrant, strategically secure, and politically free Europe with close and enduring ties to the United States.
