As a result, EU member states are rethinking and recalibrating their overall relationship with Beijing. Throughout this process, it will be important to understand how the conversation about China changed in member states. Thus, this exclusive expert roundtable organised by the ECFR Madrid office in collaboration with the ECFR Asia Programme is part of a series of roundtables which seek to identify regional differences in European perceptions and generate a better understanding of the national contours of the China debate within European member states.
