The European Council on Foreign Relations is delighted to invite you to a Black Coffee Morning to assess the long overdue European positioning across the Arab Gulf region.
To the backdrop of increasingly assertive regional positioning the central question debate is whether – and if so, in what ways – European states can advance a more proactive and strategically autonomous posture within the Gulf. How would a joint European interaction with other Gulf actors across wider regional hotspots such as Libya, Yemen, or Iraq look like? What do regional dynamics mean for European partnerships with Gulf actors? In what capacity can Europe reinforce its own interests as it navigates intra-Gulf rivalries and wider Gulf regional ambitions?
