Nele Anders is a senior advocacy officer at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Berlin office. Prior to joining ECFR, Anders worked at a sustainability rating company in Barcelona where she supported the policy and public affairs and the human and labour rights teams.
She gained experience in advocacy and campaigning as a Carlo Schmid fellow at the UN Liaison Office for Children and Armed Conflict in Brussels, and in European foreign policy as a graduate trainee at the EU Delegation in Rome.
Anders is a scholarship alumna of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and holds an MSc in culture and conflict in a global Europe from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also holds a BA in political sciences (minor: English studies) from the Eberhardt Karls University in Tübingen, during which she completed a study abroad semester at Sciences Po Paris.
