Mohammed Odeh*
Mohammed Odeh (محمد عودة) was a member of the Military Council of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades. In May 2026, he reportedly replaced Ezz al-Din al-Hadad as the overall leader of Hamas‘s armed wing. He was soon after assassinated by Israel.
Odeh was previously the long-standing head of intelligence in the Qassam Brigades. He also reportedly took over as head of operations and arms production following the assassination of Raed Saad in December 2025.
He reportedly became a member of Hamas during its establishment in 1987 and soon after joined its internal security force (al-Majd) established by Yahya Sinwar.
