Mahmoud Salah (محمود صلاح) was born in 1974 in Gaza. He became the Director General of the Hamas-run Civil Police in Gaza in September 2019. He was assassinated by Israel in Khan Younis in January 2025.
Salah joined the police force when it was established under the auspices of the Palestinian Authority in 1994.
