Renewed focus on foreign policy responses on migration following Valetta and Paris attacks brings London back into the picture

It has been a pivotal week for the future of Europe's response to the refugee crisis. The EU-Africa summit in Valetta placed the focus on the western Mediterranean migration route and the G20 summit in Antalya saw at least a rhetorical internationalisation of the crisis. But it was Friday 13 November's brutal terrorist attacks in Paris that have produced the greatest short term effect with many across Europe now explicitly linking migration with terrorism.
