Biography
Peter Sørensen is a senior Danish diplomat with over 30 years’ experience across the EU, UN, and OSCE. He built his career in the Western Balkans, holding key advisory and leadership roles. He later served as EU Ambassador and EU Special Representative to Bosnia and Herzegovina during periods of political and economic transition. From 2014 to 2018, he represented the EU at the UN in Geneva, focusing on human rights and multilateral diplomacy. In 2023, he became EEAS Special Envoy for Digital Diplomacy. In 2025, he was appointed EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, working to normalise relations between Kosovo and Serbia
