Margarita Peces

Margarita Peces is the major events assistant at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Madrid office.

Prior to joining ECFR, she worked in event and project management for several institutions and projects, including completing an internship at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Directorate-General for Protocol, Chancellery and Orders in Madrid, as well as at the Spanish mission to the United Nations in Vienna.

Peces holds a BA in international relations from IE University in Madrid, with a focus on peace, conflict and security. During her Erasmus at Sciences Po Paris, she became more deeply interested in European politics and law. Peces’s interest in event management developed during her time at university, where she spent much of her free time on extracurricular projects which allowed her to hone her skills in the area.
