Communications Intern

Karel Solař is a communications intern at the European Council on Foreign Relations. Before joining ECFR, he worked as a trainee in the European Parliament and at the Czech Embassy in Rome. He also has experience in the media sector.
Karel holds a BA in journalism and political science from Masaryk University, where he is currently completing an MA in European studies.
His research interests include Ukraine, central and eastern Europe and the EU’s foreign policy.
Andrej Babis’s populist party won the Czech parliamentary election with the mantra of “Czechia first” and a promise to stop sending ammunition to Ukraine. Another European country, such as Finland, needs to take its place
