Ignazio Cassis took up his post as head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of Switzerland on 1 November 2017. In 2026, he holds the position of Chairperson-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). He was President of the Swiss Confederation in 2022 and, in 2025, was elected Vice-President of the Swiss Federal Council.”
