Biography
Andrés González is the office assistant at the European Council on Foreign Relations, based in the Madrid Office.
Before assuming this role, Andrés began his career at ECFR as an intern while pursuing his master’s degree in international relations at the Complutense University of Madrid, in which he is currently enrolled.
Before joining ECFR, Andrés served as assistant coordinator for international institutional relations at Rey Juan Carlos University. He worked as a speaker and coordinator for webinars and podcasts in collaboration with the World Forum for Democracy and the Conference on the Future of Europe, as well as at seminars on EU foreign policy and defence. In addition, he has broadened his public engagement through his membership of Equipo Europa. Andrés has contributed as an analyst in the Europe team at the think tank Geopol 21, with which he continues to collaborates occasionally.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Rey Juan Carlos University and a master’s in political science from the Free University of Brussels. He has also supplemented his training with various courses on the European Union, including those offered at the Diplomatic School in Madrid.
