Amy Sandys is an editorial assistant at the European Council on Foreign Relations.
Before joining ECFR in 2024, Sandys worked as a journalist and editor at the business publication JUVE Patent, focusing on pan-European IP disputes and developments. Prior to this, she was a senior journalist and later deputy editor for two London-based trade magazines, and has contributed writing on the topics of cities, urbanism, and place branding in a freelance capacity. She has also worked at a charity in a communications role.
Sandys has a BA in geography from the University of Southampton, and an MSc in Urban Studies from University College London. She is based in Cologne.
