Belarus protests continued into the 17th day, despite a number of opposition politicians and demonstrators arrested on charges of organising unsanctioned protests. President Alexander Lukashenko has rejected calls to talks from the Coordination Council, a group made up of politicians and citizens who rejected the results of this month’s election.
