30 years ago, Austria, Finland and Sweden became members of the EU. What has been the
economic, political and societal impact of their EU membership? What drives
EU enlargement today? And what may the EU’s next 30 years look like?
We will delve into these questions with our experts, looking first at the scenarios for EU reforms in a changing global order, then discussing the value of EU membership by looking at lessons learned from the past and the drive to accession in the present. This event has been organised by the Permanent Representations of Austria, Finland and Sweden in collaboration with ECFR and SIEPS.
Attendance by invitation only.
