Croazia, benvenuta in Europa! Questo week-end un nuovo stato è entrato a far parte dell’UE, e spero che ne seguiranno altri – inclusa la Turchia. Per entrare a far parte dell’Unione Europea, questi paesi sono sottoposti a complicati negoziati di adesione. L’Europa richiede elevati standard su molte questioni ed è giusto così. Ma una volta che sei dentro, chi detiene il controllo? Chi controlla che tutti i requisiti siano realmente implementati e non rimangano solo sulla carta?
I Ministri di Francia, Germania, Spagna e Italia si incontrerano a Roma questa settimana per discutere della disoccupazione giovanile e per introdurre nuove riforme per rilanciare la crescita e la competività. La posta in gioco è il Progetto Europeo
Subito dopo aver ottenuto il voto di fiducia in entrambe le camere del Parlamento italiano, il giovane primo ministro è partito per un tour europeo, cominciato con una visita alla Merkel, a cui Enrico Letta ha detto che è necessario “comprendere che questa crisi non ha trovato soluzione perché non c’è stata abbastanza Europa”. Ha inoltre affermato che il suo è un governo fortemente europeo, e ha rimarcato che l’Europa ha ottenuto grandi risultati quando l’Italia e la Germania hanno lavorato assieme, unite da una vocazione federalista
Gli italiani eleggeranno un nuovo Parlamento. C’è un importante elemento di novità che differenzia quest’elezione dalle precedenti: per la prima volta l’“Europa” sembra occupare un ruolo predominante.
