Accessibility

We work to make our content accessible to all users. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers by emailing our web coordinator, Martin Tenev, at [email protected].

Limitations

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • The PDF version of our publications is not accessible. Please use the web version instead: as our recent publications are web-first, their content should be available in the web version.
  • We try to provide meaningful alternative text for all images and charts, but it might not be available in all cases, particularly in older content.
  • We upload all our videos to our YouTube channel. Although we don’t usually provide closed captions, you can turn on the automatic captioning in the YouTube player.
  • We do not currently provide transcriptions for our podcasts.

Efforts

Our website is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These are some of the measures we have taken over the last years:

  • We improved our website markup so that it is easier to navigate with a keyboard.
  • We ensure that elements on our website have appropriate contrast and sizing.
  • We have established accessibility guidelines for our charts so that they have appropriate contrast and discernible colours.
  • We add alternative text to images and charts in our new content, and explicitly mark them as decorative when appropriate.

We also keep learning on accessibility and continuously implement changes based on good practices and user feedback.
