With the Turkish elections just days away, ECFR's Sofia office held a roundtable event this morning to mark the launch of What Does Turkey Think? The panelists were H.E. Ismail Aramaz, Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria, Metin Kazak MEP and Dimitar Bechev, senior policy fellow at ECFR and editor of WDTT. What does Turkey Think? is a new collection of nine essays by Turkish experts and political figures from different backgrounds – Islamists, secularists, Kurds and liberals. The essays examine how questions of identity, democratisation and Ankara’s evolving foreign policy are seen from within the new Turkey. The event discussion was moderated by was hosted by Violeta Stanicic . Director of the Information Bureau of the European Parliament, which hosted the event.
