ECFR Paris office

The Paris office was established in October 2007 to promote ECFR’s policy positions toward French policy-makers and to engage various political institutions and civil society organisations in a debate on strategic European foreign affairs issues.

With a staff of four, the Paris office is currently the biggest ECFR office outside of London. The office collaborates closely with the Asia Centre at Science Po, jointly generating innovative research and analysis on Asia.

ECFR Paris has organised a number of major events in 2008 and 2009, including a meeting of ECFR Council Members in April 2008 and a public debate (co-organised with EUISS) with George Soros, Pierre Hassner and Alvaro de Vasconcelos in attendance. The office has also organised press lunches and hosted debates with policy-makers about various ECFR reports.
