Hans Kundnani joined the European Council on Foreign Relations as an editor in November 2009. He previously worked as a journalist and continues to write for various publications including The Guardian, The Observer, Financial Times, Prospect and the Times Literary Supplement. He is the author of Utopia or Auschwitz. Germany's 1968 Generation and the Holocaust (London/New York, 2009). He also organises the British-German Journalists' Conference. He studied German and philosophy at Oxford and journalism at Columbia University.
